WELCOME TO UITM BLS

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a major public health issue associated with poor survival rates. A low bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) rate is one of the factors associated with low cardiac arrest survival.

Between the year 2009 to 2012, the survival rate from OHCA in Malaysia is only 8% compared to its neighbouring countries Singapore 17%, Thailand 27.7%, South Korea 20.4% and Japan 27.3%.

Anyone can learn CPR, and anyone could. Someone's life could be in your hands...and preparing yourself with the basics of life support could save your loved ones.
